Tell me what you do.
I'll sort the rest.

Websites, flyers, logos, Google listings and QR codes for small businesses. You send a few photos off your phone and tell me what you're after. I do everything else.

Gary's site was live four days after he messaged me  ·  have a look

How it works

Three things happen. One of them involves you.

01

You tell me what you do

Ten minutes on the phone or a few messages. What you do, who for, what you charge, and any photos sat on your phone. That's your bit finished.

02

I build it and show you

I write it, sort the pictures, buy the domain and put it online so you can look at it properly on your phone. Before you've paid anything.

03

You say yes and it's live

Anything you don't like, I change it. Then it goes live on your own domain, and I get your Google listing sorted while I'm at it.

What I do

Things I'll take off your hands

Same person does all of it, so nothing gets lost between the website and the printer.

A five-page website

Home, services and prices, about, reviews, contact. Built for phones first, with call, WhatsApp and Messenger buttons throughout. I write it, sort the photos, buy the domain and put it live. The website and the domain are yours — if you ever want to go elsewhere, I'll hand them over, no argument.

Flyers, leaflets and printing

You tell me roughly what you want on it and I design it, then get it printed on decent paper and delivered to your door. You never speak to a printer. Gary's 5,000 went from a sketch to ordered in one afternoon.

Google Business Profile

Set up or fixed properly, under your own Google account, with the right categories, your hours, your area and your photos, plus a review link you can text to customers. I can't promise you the top of Google and I won't pretend otherwise — but I'll make sure you're on there properly.

QR codes for the van, the window or a flyer

A proper print-quality code that takes people straight to your website. Sent to your sign writer as a vector file so it stays sharp at any size, and scan-tested before it goes anywhere.

Logo and artwork

If you haven't got a logo, or the only version you own is a fuzzy photo of your van. Priced once I know what's needed, so ask.

Bigger jobs

More pages, online booking, event ticketing that people can buy through without leaving your site. All doable and priced properly rather than squeezed into a £300 job. Here's a concept I built for a festival with a working ticket checkout.

Saves you a job

The bits you do over and over. Someone books and gets a confirmation without you touching your phone. A quote goes out as a proper PDF while you're still under the car. A missed call texts them back on its own. Day job I do the same sort of thing for a big company, so it's not new to me — it's just new to Bates Design, and I'd rather say that than pretend I've done fifty of them. Tell me the job you're sick of doing twice and I'll tell you straight if it can do itself.
